Accuracy is everything
I’ve always been interested in making things
I’ve been a hobby woodworker for years, designing and building projects for friends and family with the occasional commission thrown in.
Looking back over past projects, I'm amazed at how far I’d journeyed.
I mostly build with hand tools but I’m not fanatical about them; machines certainly have a place in my workshop.
This site has two purposes. Firstly, I’m hoping that you’ll find some useful information here and maybe even save yourself a bit of cash. There’s far more stuff you don’t need than stuff you do when you’re woodworking Hopefully, this site will help you decide which is which.
Secondly, some of the projects I make do go up for sale and this site is where you can come to buy them (of course, I accept commissions too).
Why “Canyer”?
I was going to write a short piece about the ancient Canyer tree and have some fun telling you about this fictional bit of flora.
The truth however, is that it’s a play on the phrase “Can yer make me a…?”
I do like the idea of learning and constantly striving to improve though, so this site will help answer questions that start with “Canyer”.
